What makes us experts?

We live and breathe wine. We love great tasting wine no matter where it comes from or how much—or little—a bottle may cost. Our never-ending quest to satisfy our taste buds has taken us to trade tastings, dinners and wine events all over the world and we continue to taste thousands of United States and international wines a year. That’s a lot of corks.

Residents of Sonoma County, California, we have been in the California wine business over 30 years. We work only with artisan wine producers because we believe that artisan wines offer more interest, depth and complexity and make the best pairings with artisan cheeses.

We know wine when we taste it. And we know that great wine can taste even more phenomenal when paired with the perfect artisan cheese.

Our cheeses are sourced from Peggy Smith and Sue Conley, the owners of Tomales Bay Foods. They’re one of the top cheese distribution companies in the country. And they’re huge proponents of artisan cheese makers. Tomales Bay Foods sources and promotes only the best farmstead cheeses. Farmstead cheeses are made by the same folks who raise the animals, milk them and produce the cheese at their farm. Peggy and Sue also own Cowgirl Creamery, which produces some of the best artisan cheeses made in the United States today.

We have been pairing wines and artisan cheeses for pleasure for as long as we can remember. Our mission is to spread the stories of these passionate wine and cheese makers and we want to share the best matches with our customers.
